Earworm of the day. “I may not be normal, but nobody is”. G to the enius. And infinitely easy to identify with. Whoever said Willie couldn’t sing does not possess functional ears! He has written, and sung some of the most heartwrenching songs in music. ‘Crazy’, ‘Please Come to Boston’, ‘Angel Flying too Close to the Ground,’ and ‘You Don’t Know Me’ just to name a few. There are more than two types of music (Country and Western) but these are prime examples of how country should be done. There should be less of a stigma involved in liking country music. Unfortunately it still seems to be associated with hicks from the South who can’t tell their horse from their mistress.

Heard this last night for the first time in years and was reminded just how gorgeous Ian McCulloch’s vocals are. Not the most positive first post but the lyrics are strangely hopeful. For more like this, Paul Weller’s ‘You Do Something To Me’ has a similar sound.
